Nigeria's famous songstress is indeed not happy that she has been thrown out of her hitherto exalted office as the Director General of National Centre for Women Development, a position she got during the government of ex President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan.
When Onyeka Onwenu knelt for Buhari |
Onyeka it was who lavishly campaigned for another slot for the ex president during the months and days leading to the general election in the country. But no sooner did the ex president lose the bid for the presidency to Mohammadu Buhari, critics say the famous songstress seems to have tilted her gaze to the new president, hoping to curry favour from the new president.
This critics say was much evident in the way the songstress publicly knelt down to greet the new president, after having campaigned heavily against his choice as president prior to the voting day.
But guess what, as soon as the songstress bowed out of office, she poured out all the pains she suffered while in office as a Director General. Trust critics, who now insist that the songstress is only trying to whip up sentiment and curry undeserved public sympathy.
