When Olu Of Warri visited Oba Rilwan Akiolu

The Oba of Lagos, Oba Rilwan Akiolu, yesterday advised monarchs in the country to cooperate wit President Muhammadu Buhari administration for it to achieve success.


The monarch gave the advise when the newly crowned Olu of Warri, Prince Godfrey Ikenwol Emiko, yesterday paid him a courtesy visit at his palace.



Oba Akiolu urged all monarchs ' to forget the past and work together.'

"All Obas must refrain from making statements that can cause disunity. They should cooperate with government to achieve success and forget the past," he said.

He urged the new Olu of Warri to always listen to the plight of his subjects, treat them well be close to God.

"I pray for the success of your reign and be obedience from your subjects. You should be close to God and treats your subjects well. Warri will continue to prosper. Let us all pray for the success of this country,"Akiolu added.

In his response, Olu of Warri described Oba Akiolu as a father to him for welcoming him to his palace, adding that he has shown friendliness in his relationship with Warri indigenes residing in Lagos.

"You are a father indeed for accepting us. You have demonstrated brotherhood. We see Lagos as our own because of your friendliness. We urge you to continue showing fatherly relationship to our people in Lagos. We are also inviting you to visit us Warri with your chiefs, "Olu of Warri said.
