General Overseer
of Power Pentecostal Church Bishop Bola Adeleke last week Wednesday launched her
Kiibati Online Radio at a ceremony that attracted the Christian community,
which included Pastors and representatives of Christian bodies across the
country.
A joyful Bishop
Bola Adeleke used the event opportunity to
tell the story of how she had in the 80s desired to attend a Bible College but was turned back because she is a woman. That she was simply told by the institution’s provost that the place of a woman is in the kitchen. But just a few years later, where she was holding a powerful crusade with great attendance, the same man came up to the podium to apologise to her, after he saw her powerful ministration and the miracles that God performed at the crusade through her.

“After he
apologised to me, I simply handed over the microphone to him, to also apologise
to the crowd for not allowing me to attend the Bible College. And he apologised.
“I also desired
to have a radio station at that time, but the dream did not materialise until
now. So I thank God that today, the dream has turned to reality today, as
Kiibati Online radio, is right now on air live.”
Asked what motivated
her to start an online radio station, Bishop Bola Adeleke replied, “All we hear
around us are mostly bad news, I think it is time that we tune unto our radio,
to hear good news. So I prayed to God and He allowed me to start Kiibati Online
Radio. So my vision is to reach people with good news.
Bishop Bola
Adeleke said she agrees that it is the content that makes a communication medium.
So she intends to ensure that listeners get the good content that they deserve
all the way from Nigeria.
