Supreme Court yesterday dismissed the appeal filed by Rev. Paul Emeka the
General Overseer of the Assemblies of God Church, against an earlier decision
of the Court of Appeal, Enugu, which much earlier upheld his sack, for
violating the church’s rules.
Thus
bringing to an end the about three-year leadership crisis that has rocked the
church, after his March 6, 2014 suspension by the church’s General Council.
He
was accused of being involved in financial mis-management, abuse of power, and
autocratic. The church was also particular miffed when the now sacked reverend,
took the church body to a law court.
