The
National Women Leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC) Hajiya
(Dr.) Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu has called on party members and friends to be
aware of the difference in the names of the newly appointed Executive
Director of Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria and her's, that they are
totally different.
This
information according to her, became necessary because of the several
calls that she has been receiving from people around the country in
respect to an appointment which she has not been given.
It
could be recalled that, recently, Hajiya Rahimatu Aliyu was appointed
by President Muhammadu Buhari as the Executive Director of Federal
Mortgage Bank of Nigeria. The APC Women Leader pointed out that while
the name Rahimatu Aliyu and Ramatu Aliyu, looks similar, there is indeed
great difference in the two.
"Many
of people across the country and abroad particularly mistook the
appointment for mine and they called to congratulate me on an
appointment that is not mine."
Hajiya
(Dr.) Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu who also is the President of the Council of
African Political Parties (Women Wing) thanked all the concerned
callers and added that, "In as much as I appreciate the relentless and
unprecedented outpouring of congratulatory messages and goodwill, I must
clarify that I am Hajiya Dr. Ramatu Tijjani Aliyu, not the appointed
Hajiya Rahimatu Aliyu. Given the enormity of the goodwill from Nigerians
within and outside the country and across all walks of life, it has
become imperative to set the record straight."
