Uyo, the capital city of Akwa Ibom State, came alive last weekend,
with the third edition of Uyo Fashion Forward 3.0, produced by Ubong ‘Kardynal’
Ekanem of Kardynal Kommunikationz.
The event at EEMJM Hotel Banquet Hall and OBA Liaison office Hall
in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State will certainly remain in many minds for a long time to
come, as it raised the bar in many ways.
This edition of the project featured a Fashion Masterclass, Runway
Show and Fashion Fair. And designers that showed their range included:

CATHERINE, LUDA NITA, EKAITE, AMASIAN, INYANGOBONG COLLECTION, VERGE FASHION
HOUSE, RINZ COUTURE, LAVENDER BY INI, KHEEM PRESTIGE and POSH
GOLD. CEEJAY INTERNATIONAL showed a range of bespoke eyewear.
Highlights of the event included the presentation of sewing
machines to 5 up-and-coming designers by Rt. Hon. Victor Antai, Commissioner
for Culture and Tourism, Akwa Ibom State. Uyo Fashion Forward provides a
physical platform that will gradually reposition fashion as a useful tool for
culture, commerce and creativity in Akwa Ibom State.
The show brings together, buyers, consumers and the media to view
the current collections of global designers in the city of Uyo.
