Minister for Agriculture, Dr. Audu Ogbeh has been scheduled to deliver a
lecture titled, Nigeria’s economic diversification: The role of Agriculture for
sustainable wealth creation, on Thursday 28 September, 2017.
This will be part of a
week-long activities lined up to celebrate the premier club’s 79th anniversary.

who spoke at a press briefing to announce the official opening of the club’s
celebrations in Lagos, disclosed that the major part of the celebration would be
the networking that will be achieved within the club’s members and their
friends.

Other
activities will be a charity visit by members of the club to Ikoyi
maximum prison as part of its corporate social responsibility to give back to
the society.
According to him,
the anniversary is a testimony to the ideals of those who founded the club and
put the structures in place. “It is these that we have built upon by equally
contributing to the society in our various ways, such as charity visits, anniversary
lecture, and also in proffering solutions to issues in our society.
The 79th
anniversary celebration will end on Sunday October 1, Nigeria’s Independence
Day. On that day, the Club will host a family funfair with bazaar.
