Sterling Bank Plc, your one – customer bank, has joined
other corporate bodies around the world to celebrate its employees as part of
activities to mark this year’s International Customer Service Week (ICSW).
In his comments on the annual event, Executive
Director, Operations & Services, Mr. Yemi Odubiyi explained that the bank
decided to honour its employers in recognition of their significant
contribution to the growth and development of the bank over the years.
Odubiyi said the success of the bank is dependent on
the employees who render vital services to customers on behalf of the bank.
Some of the services include business loans, mortgage, cash management,
merchant services and other customer service functions as well as fund
transfers, he said.
He disclosed that senior management members of staff of
the bank visited branches in Lagos to carry out operational activities during
the week.
He added that some customer facing members of staff
were nominated and given badges of honour and appreciation cards in
appreciation of excellent service delivery rendered during the week.
Odubiyi said a service themed drama, showcasing the
difference between good and bad service was broadcast bank-wide during the
weekly knowledge sharing session. This was done to further strengthen the
bank’s culture of service excellence in market.
In addition, the Executive Director spent an hour
making outbound and third-party confirmation calls to customers at the Contact
Centre as part of activities marking the International Customer Service Week.
The bank also marked the week by uploading photo
collage and videos highlighting the activities of the week on various social
media platforms and website
