National security analyst & diplomacy scholar Wole Madariola Olumide has advised the Federal Government to priorities the welfare of Security officials, both in the Nigerian Police, Army as well as other security agencies as they disburse the approved $1billion to up the fight against security challenges in the country.

The Isreali-trained weapon expert who was the Guest Lecturer at the Crimeworld Security Award held in Lagos recently where he delivered a paper on : The Socio-Economic Impact of Kidnapping on developing nations - Nigeria a case study, was honored at the event alongside  Inspector-General of Police Idris Ibrahim, Former IGP Mike Okiro, Solomon Arase among others.

He emphasized that acquisition & procurement  of hardware without improving the welfare of military personnel is maladministration. Food, clothing, allowances ,medical supplies and temporary accommodation are all important.
