2019: GROUP COMMENDS TINUBU AS LAGOS APC ADOPTS DIRECT PRIMARIES

Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard, a group mobilizing 5 million votes for re-election of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode in up-coming 2019 Gubernatorial Election, as commended the National Leader of the All Progressive Congress, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu for leading a resolution to elect candidates through direct primaries and to commence registration of new members in Lagos state immediately.   

The State coordinator of the Group, Hon. Seyi Bamigbade make this known when addressing thousands of youths who voluntarily adopted Governor Akinwunmi Ambode as their Governor beyond 2019 in Lagos. He said the resolution will expand egalitarianism and it will also give more people sense of belonging which the Itesiwaju Ipinle Eko Vanguard has been canvassing for since almost 16 months ago.

Seyi also thanked the Youths for their Support for good governance under the administration of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode, the Executive Governor of Lagos. He also advised them to use the opportunity to register as a member of the All Progressive Congress in Lagos State, so that they can partake in the direct primaries.

We equally urged our members to get their Permanent Voters Card (PVCs) before the expiration of registration deadline, 31st of August 2018 by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). 

Hon. Segun Olulade, Member representing Epe Const. II at the Lagos State House of Assembly, who represented the Lagos State Governor at the well attended endorsement of Gov. Akinwunmi Ambode Continuity in office, urged the people not to abandon their civic responsibility by collecting their PVC, adding that it is their civic right as a citizen of Nigeria.

According to Olulade: “without your PVC, you are powerless, without your PVC, you can only complain, you cannot contribute. That is why we are calling on everybody to get their PVC so that we can give our tireless Gov Ambode 5 Miliion votes on the day of the election.”
