She’s gone! Yes, gone, gone and gone. Friends say she
was ill for a while, but many of course did not know about that.
She was 63
years old. An astute lawyer, Sade Adetiba was Ex-IGI Group Deputy MD. She
was also a Deputy
Director at the Federal Ministry of Justice.
Folasade Adetiba played the big
league in her chosen legal profession. Up on the wall in her Lekki
based office in Lagos is a framed photograph of ex-Military President Ibrahim
Badamosi Babangida while inspecting something of note with the ex-Attorney
General Chief Bola Ajibola and Folasade Adetiba was there in the photograph
with them.
This particular photograph struggles for space with numerous awards
here and there in the spick and span office.
She also ran a foundation she called, ‘Support Bridges
Initiative’ that was dear to her heart, one which she started with a seed
support from friends. She was not just a lawyer, she was a UK accredited
mediator, a solicitor and advocate of the Supreme Court, a teacher and legal
consultant. She sat at the family court of Lagos State, a child rights
consultant and expert and she was a legal secretary of the diocese of Lagos
Anglican Communion.
Born into the Olulade family, her late father was a
Reverend of The Anglican Communion; he was a Vicar in two Anglican churches
both in Abeokuta and Ibadan. While her mom was a professional,
a Sunday school teacher.
Rest in peace
