Pastor Dotun Ojelabi, Founder, Covenant Harvest Christian International Ministry is 50! Yes, and he kicked off
the landmark occasion with an intellectually-stimulating colloquium in Lagos.
The event held at the Oriental Hotel, Lekki had former President, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo as Father of the Day and renowned scholar, Prof. Ayo Ibidapo-Obe as Guest Speaker.
In his lecture, Prof. Ibidapo-Obe discussed moral decadence in Nigeria of today and the need for the elders to teach and act right.
He also bemoaned the poor educational system which he noted is capable of impeding our progress in years to come.
In his remarks, President Obasanjo who described the industrious man of God as his son urged youths to invest in themselves and take action that will shape their future.
Later, the compere, Suleiman Aledeh, invited the celebrant, his wife, Pastor Adetutu, their three children, his mentor, Mr Olumide Phillips and wife as well as some special guests to cut a lovely cake.
In the course of the occasion, the repackaged book was written by his father, Chief Adekunle Ojelabi in 1970 " Textbook on West African History" was launched. Proceeds from the book will be donated to the Kunle Ojelabi Foundation, according to the celebrant.
The event was attended by such personalities as Mrs Tosin Alobo-Bakare, AIG Tunji Alapini (Rtd) Bashorun Dele Momodu, Prince Bisi Olatilo, Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, Yomi Badejo- Okunsanya, Biola Akinola, Biodun Ponle, Biodun Fari-Arole, Michael Effiong, Rufai Ladipo and Mary Charles.
