The bereaved family at the graveside |
Why did Abuja based
businessman Mr. Oluwakemi Olanrewaju Olutunda decide to leave the world on
Christmas Day, December 25, 2019? Many have tried to unravel that mystery,
including family and friends.
But the truth is that Oluwakemi Olanrewaju Olutunda who hailed from the honourable family of Late Chief Emmanuel Obajimi Olutunda family in Ikenne-Remo, left, leaving many with questions like 'why so early?'
He was the son of a Commissioner in Alhaji Lateef Jakande’s cabinet in Lagos state, and the son of
the Iya Ijo of Our Saviour’s Church Anglican Church in Ikenne-Remo.
On the 30th of
December before the year kissed the dust, Oluwakemi Olanrewaju Olutunda was
laid to rest at Our Saviour’s Anglican Church burial ground on Odogbolu Road in
Ikenne-Remo.
The tears wanted to pour freely, as top society folks, family and
friends gathered for the funeral ceremony, but tears were held back because
though he left at age 57, he had many years of smiles and blissful moments that had been shared with many of the people that came to pay their last respect.
He
was indeed a son, brother, father and grandfather: However, many still thought, he
left too soon!
