The Okanlomo of Ibadan land, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi on Tuesday 4th, February 2020 received in his home in Ibadan, the Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji (AjeOgunguniso 1).
The Monarch, who was accompanied by his wife, Olori Rasheedat Adetunji, was welcomed amid cheers and rejoicing into the home of the Akanbis by Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi and his lovely wife, the Yeye Okanlomo of Ibadan land, Chief Mrs Zhikrah Afolake Aduke Akanbi.
The Olubadan's visit was to checkup on his beloved son, the Okanlomo of Ibadan land for the first time in the new year in his new home as well as to commiserate with him for the loss of his Father-in-law, Late Alhaji (Chief) Daud Adekunle Abdul who until his death was the Balogun of Ikare land, Baba Adinni of Ondo state and the Alatileyin Adinni of Lagos.
The Olubadan described Senator Soji Akanbi as his special son in whom he is well pleased and which of course also tallies with his title 'okanlomo of Ibadan land' (a rare son). He prayed that God will preserve Akanbi's life. He blessed the family and also encouraged Senator Akanbi to never relent in living up to his title as the Okanlomo of Ibadan land adding that his giant humanitarian and philantropic strides as well as his continuous efforts in ensuring a better Ibadan cannot be underestimated.
The Queen, Olori Rashidat Adetunji also added pleasant remarks about the Yeye Okanlomo of Ibadan land, Chief Zhikrah Aduke Akanbi, describing her as a loving and wonderful wife, she blessed her and the family and group photographs were taken.
The okanlomo of Ibadan land in his own words said that he is grateful for this rare privilege and it is a day he will hold very dear in his heart while also thanking the Monarch and his entourage for the honour.
