The relationship between Kano State Government and The
Emir of Kano went very awry this morning as the state government, called off the
relationship by dethroning the Emir Muhammadu Sanusi II as the Emir of Kano.
The removal of Sanusi as Emir of Kano, was announced by
the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Usman Alhaji, at the State
Executive Council meeting this morning. He added that a new emir would soon be
appointed.
