Man who Jumped on Buhari apologizes to Nigerians: “I did it out of love”

Thirty year old Jamilu Guddare almost got himself into serious trouble when he bridged protocol and jumped out of the crowd to shake Nigerian President, Mohammadu Buhari at an event in Kebbi state.

But having been checked, he spoke to journalists at Government House, Birnin Kebbi where before Governor Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Muhammed, Commissioner of Police, State Commissioner of Information , Alhaji Mahmud Warra and Officials of the Department of State Security, DSS, he acknowledged his mistake, and apologized about his action and said that he did it out of sheer love for the president, that he never thought it would be considered offensive, since he meant no harm.

Guess what? Guddare said that it has always been his life ambition to meet with the president. Well, the Minister of Information and Culture said he would crosscheck with Mr President and the other necessary government agencies to see if that dream can still take place on the president’s bidding.

Talk of luck. Jamilu Guddare has plenty of it, because in another circumstance, he may have got a real raw deal with government. It is not advisable to break protocol like he did.
