Nigerians continue to grieve the death of Nollywood movie director Chico Ejiro, whose death saturated the internet early morning, Christmas Day.
The late Chico Ejiro may have been an unusually quite personality while he was alive, but he was at the same time very popular for his movies such as ‘Silent Night’ and others that were box office success. At a time Chico Ejiro was churning out movies every two weeks which made him to be referred to, as 'Mr Prolific.'

Expressing his grief on the loss of the movie director,
Businessman cum Politician Chief Kenny Martins exclaimed, “what a loss to the
Entertainment Industry in particular and the Nation as a whole, especially at
this period when Nigeria is in dire search for diversification of her revenue
and creative engagement of our teeming talented industrious youths. May the
good Lord grant peaceful repose to His Soul.”
On his part, Politician and Founder of Silverbird Group,
Ben Murray-Bruce reacted on his Twitter page, “I mourn the death of Nollywood
legend and filmmaker, Chico Ejiro. My condolences to his family, the Nollywood
family and all the love ones he left behind: May his soul rest in peace.
Since we posted the news this morning, callers from inside
and outside the country have been calling our lines to either confirm the story
or to express their shock at his death.
More of the callers cried after confirming and prayed
to God to stop the death toll as they also prayed for the family of the
deceased.
