Governor Udom Emmanuel today, Saturday 19th December, 2020, Commissioned the Dried Bamboo to Tissue Production Line at the Dakkada Cottage Industries, Itam Industrial estate in Itu LGA.
According to the Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong, the facility is fully owned by government, but will be administered by a private business model for maximum profitability.
The Information helmsman said, the Ibom soft rolls will hit the market stand in February 2021, after obtaining requisite certifications.
He said, the pioneering technology applied in the production line is both human and environment friendly.
Comrade Ini Ememobong emphasized that, the coming into operation of the Dried Bamboo Toilet Tissue is an indication that, the Industrialization pillar of the Completion Agenda is meeting its targets.
