...says Bawa will deliver
The Emerging Leaders Forum of Nigeria (ELFON) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for appointing 40 years old Abdulrasheed Bawa to Chair the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Speaking to journalists in Owerri this morning, the National President of ELFON; Amb. Godstime Chukwubuikem Samuel confirmed that President Muhammadu Buhari in a letter to President of the Senate, Ahmad Ibrahim Lawan, in accordance with Paragraph 2(3) of Part1, CAP E1 of EFCC Act 2004 has asked the Senate to confirm 40-year-old Abdulrasheed Bawa as substantive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Amb. Godstime said that Bawa is a trained EFCC investigator with vast experience in the investigation and prosecution of Advance Fee Fraud cases, official corruption, bank fraud, money laundering, and other economic crimes.
"President Muhammadu Buhari by this appointment has demonstrated his readiness to support Young Nigerians in becoming Emerging Leaders ready to succeed current Nigeria Leaders in no distant time. We thank Mr. President for identifying with the "Youth Constituency " in this singular act, we urge him to accommodate more youths in the political and Leadership space in his Administration. We are sure that Bawa will deliver better as EFCC Boss. ELFON will continue to pursue her #NOT -TOO YOUNG -TO -LEAD advocacy, Godstime expressed.
