Sauntering into the venue of the funeral service as conducted by The Apostolic Church Nigeria at Enen Atai Itam in Itu Local Government area, Akwa Ibom State, one could feel the display of love for a mother. Everything was just on point and topnotch.
Late Obongawan Eme Eyo Okon was a woman of valour with a heart filled with love which the daughter, a prolific film maker, Uddy Udoh has emulated.
Dignitaries, politicians and socialites from within and outside the country were present to condole with the first daughter of Mama, Uddy. Celebrities from the movie and music industries where Uddy holds sway with her production outfit Uddy Udoh Productions added the personnel razzmatazz to the event.
Different sociocultural groups such as the renowned group, The Mboho Mkparawa Ibibio led by the international president Akparawa Obong Patrick Udofia were in attendance to support one of their own.
Professional groups, social groups, families et al were also prominently present.
Star Child Actor Precious Udoh who is a granddaughter to the deceased performed an emotional tribute song in honour of her late grand mother. The tribute song was released under Regnant Music Record Label owned by Uddy Udoh.
The entire burial ceremony was full of glitz and Pomp with the support of Udeme Udoyen and Samuel children of late Obongawan Eme Eyo Okon who joined hands with their Sister Uddy Udoh to give Mama a befitting burial.
Uddy Udoh, an American based film producer with verifiable records and record label owner got emotional in saying "good bye mama". She was overwhelmed with the love expressed by people and their presence most importantly. She added that she chose to give her mother the best and befitting burial because she was her role model, her mentor and the architect of what she is today.
