Kwara may soon set a pace in improving the state of the health sector.
Just yesterday the House of Assembly called for the provision of oxygen gas at public and private hospitals in the state.
A move made by Rasaq Owolabi (APC/Share-Oke Ode), was adopted at the plenary with a Motion on Notice, titled: ‘Need for Pragmatic Policy to Enhance Consistent Availability of Oxygen gas in Hospitals in Kwara’.
Owolabi posited that health facilities in the state is witnessing dearth of oxygen gas for patients in need of it especially at this time of covid-19 pandemic.
On his part, the Speakerof the Kwara State House of Assembly, Mr Yakubu Danladi, called on the state government to identify and invite medical industrialists with oxygen gas manufacturing competence for partnership to avoid more deaths during this pandemic in hospitals.
