The home of the Okanlomo of Ibadan, Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has been enveloped in atmosphere of joy, as the last born of the immediate nuclear family Abdulmalik Akanbi, got called to the Nigerian Bar few days ago.
Indeed, the Akanbi family deserve all the joy because hardwork and success has always been the niche and the hallmark of the entire family.
The young man of the moment Abdulmalik Akanbi, attended Maralla Secondary School, Ibadan. At 15, he proceeded to the University of Nottingham for his Foundation, from where he later moved to the University of Manchester for his LLB Hons at age of 19.
He was eventually called to the Nigerian Bar, on Wednesday as a Solicitor and Advocate of the Supreme Court of Nigeria at the age of 21.
Abdulmalik would have actually been called to the Bar at age 20 if not for the advent of the global epidemic, popular known as Corona Virus (Covid-19) that grounded activities most part of last year, 2020.
His older brothers who equally attended Ivy league institutions in the United Kingdom, are doing well. While one is a Civil Engineer, the other is an Accountant/Economist who works with PwC in England.
