The government of Akwa Ibom state has set an age benchmark for admission into secondary schools in the state.
Those who are above twelve (12) years old would no longer be allowed admission into secondary schools in the state.
This according to the government, is to checkmate rising cases of cultism in secondary schools.
"However, any student above age of 12, with a genuine reason, will have their parents sign an undertaking of good behaviour, before their admission,” said the state's Commissioner for Information.
