In the usual manner of marking the Governor's birthday with the not so privileged in the society, The College of Commissioners and special adviser, today, paid a visit to the Gospel Village Blessed Home, Midim, Abak local government area.
Welcoming the guests, the Supervisor of the children's home, Minister Promise Essien, née Mboho, thanked them for choosing to celebrate Governor Udom Emmanuel's 55th birthday with the Gospel Village Blessed Home. She further stated that the visit will help motivate the children to be and do better.
The Dean of the College and Commissioner for Agriculture, Dr. Glory Edet who led the team commended the management and children for the warm reception accorded them. She thanked the founder of the Home, His Grace, Archbishop Elijah Mboho, for the Great work he has been doing and prayed God to continue to give him grace.
In their various remarks, the Commissioners and special adviser charged the children to be good ambassadors of the state and their guardians.
"You have to be good ambassadors of this state and this Home which you represent. You have the potential to be whatever you want to be if you work hard towards it. Believe in God and serve him committedly, stay away from immorality and the God will bless you."
The Children offered prayers to God for the Governor, his family and administration.
Highpoint of the event was the presentation of food items to the home by the college. They prayed for the children and wished them well.
