The General Overseer of Christ Living Hope Church, Rev. Ugochukwu Emmanuel Ekwem who was arrested by operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, has thrown more light on why he had the 54 sticks of cannabis found on him, while on his way out of the country to Kenya.
Ekwem who was arrested at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, MMIA, Ikeja, Lagos, while on his way to a 3-week crusade in Nairobi, Kenya, confessed that he packed that quantity of illicit substance on his body for personal use during his 3 weeks crusade in Kenya.
The 54 sticks of cannabis was wrapped around his body.
Rev. Ugochukwu Emmanuel Ekwem's church headquarters is in Isuaniocha, Mgbakwu road, Awka, Awka North LGA, Anambra state, with two branches in Lagos and Abuja.
He was about boarding an Ethiopian Airlines flight to Nairobi via Addis Ababa, when he was arrested.
