Dino Melaye loses, Yusuf wins PDP senatorial primaries ticket

This certainly is not the best of time for erstwhile lawmaker, Senator Dino Melaye, who was seeking for another opportunity to return to the Senate.

We hear that he lost the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) ticket to a serving House of Representatives member, Hon. T.J Yusuf after a re-run.

Hon. T. J. Yusuf defeated Sen. Dino Melaye by 163 to 99 votes to pick the PDP ticket.

Speaking after he was declared the winner, Yusuf called on the other contestants, to join hands with him to win the general election.


Melaye now out in the cold, but for how long? Only time will tell.
