In keeping with the customary practice of the Ministry, the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong led the Permanent Secretary, Akparawa James Edet and management staff of the Ministry on a birthday visit to a former Commissioner of the Ministry and presently the Commissioner for Environment and Solid Minerals, Sir. Charles Udoh.
Speaking at the event which held at the Shelter Afrique residence of the celebrator in Uyo, Monday, Comrade Ini Ememobong, amidst cheers and birthday chants, wished Sir Charles Udoh longlife and a joyous 2022 birthday celebration.
"We are celebrating you today, because you are a very special person, and we appreciate your contributions to the growth of the Ministry and development of the state ", Ememobong stated.
While appreciateing the Information Commissioner and his team for the visit, the Environment and Solid Minerals Boss, Sir Charles Udoh thanked Comrade Ememobong, his management team, and staff of the Ministry for the birthday anniversary visit and prayed God to bless them abundantly.
"I am not taking this for granted, and my prayers for all of us is that, may God enlarge our coasts, and keep all of us in good health", Sir Udoh prayed.
The event which witnessed the presentation of birthday card and gifts to the celebrator was witnessed by the Chief Press Secretary (CPS) to Governor Udom Emmanuel, Mr. Ekerette Udo, the immediate elder brother of the celebrator, Sir Emmanuel Udoh, SA to the Governor on Talents Hunt, Mr. Emmanuel Onwuola as well as friends and well wishers of Sir Charles Udoh.
Sir Charles Udoh was appointed into the Governor Udom Emmanuel-led administration in December, 2016 as the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy and was later deployed to the Ministry of Environment and Solid Minerals in August, 2020, where he is currently serving.
An accomplished son of Obio Offot in Uyo LGA, Sir Charles Udoh is a former banker and brand expert, whose achivements in the State Government include: the spearheading of the successful execution of the IBB flood control project which is regarded as one of Governor Udom Emmanuel's legacy projects regarded as the biggest flood control projects in Nigeria. The project was completed and Inaugurated in September, 2021 as one of the activities lined-up up to mark the 35th anniversary of Akwa Ibom State.
