... Confers Traditional Title on Gov Emmanuel as Eduek Iman Ibom
Etinan Traditional Rulers Council has showered blessings on the gubernatorial candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Pastor Umo Eno mandating him to go, succeed and make his people in Etinan Federal Constituency proud.
The council showered blessings on the candidate when the PDP/Pastor Umo Eno and Akon Eyakenyi campaign council paid a visit on them before proceeding to the council secretariat for the campaign rally.
Speaking on behalf of the Iman Traditional Rulers Council, the
Chairman of the council who doubles as the village head of Mbioto I, Eteidung Effiong Akpan Etok, said Pastor Eno is a son of Etinan Federal Constituency and deserves the blessing of his fathers.
He noted that the Iman people were thankful to God and happy that their son has been favoured to succeed the incumbent Governor, adding that they will continue to pray for him to succeed.
The monarch therefore presented Pastor Umo Eno with the word of God (Holy Bible), saying the word will continue to guide, guard and grant him victory.
The TRC expressed appreciation to Governor Udom Emmanuel for his different developement projects in Etinan, and conferred a traditional title on the governor as Eduek Iman Ibom.
Earlier in his remarks, Pastor Umo Eno who was accompanied by his wife, Pastor (Mrs) Patience Eno and the Deputy governorship candidate, Senator Akon Eyakenyi said Etinan has always been a home for him being a son of the federal constituency.
He commended the council for acknowledging the good works of Governor Udom Emmanuel in the area and assured them that if elected, he would further on the developmental strides in Etinan.
According to him, "since Etinan is appreciative of this government, what is left would be completed. Etinan is my home and charity they say begins at home."
He noted that the needs of Etinan as well as all the local governments in the state are well captured in his economic blue print dubbed the ARISE Agenda stressing that if elected, the peace, security and development in the state will be furthered.
