... Appreciates Gov. Emmanuel, Uyo Sen. District, others for Votes
Governor-elect of Akwa Ibom state, Pastor Umo Eno has reiterated his commitment to running an all - inclusive government for the overall good of the state.
Speaking at a special thanksgiving session organized by Akwa Ibom North East Consultative Forum, he noted that he was on a mission to further on the development trajectory of the state, stressing that politics was over and it was now necessary to close ranks.
Pastor Eno who began with praises to God for the successful electoral process and his eventual victory, appreciated the people of Uyo Senatorial District for accepting and supporting him, while assuring everyone that Akwa Ibom is in for a golden era.
He recalled with immense gratitude specific sacrifices made and roles played by some groups and individuals towards the actualization of the vision.
Pastor Eno, who is a former Commissioner for Lands and Water Resources, specifically appreciated Governor Udom Emmanuel, and wife, Dr. (Mrs) Martha, whom he referred to as his campaigner -in- Chief, for availing themselves as instruments to birth the new government.
He also appreciated the elders and people of Uyo Senatorial District, and the state in general for their massive votes at the polls, and affirmed that the confidence reposed on him would not be betrayed.
The visibly elated governor in-waiting commended the organizers of the thanksgiving event, noting that with the enormity of God's grace and mercy upon his life and the state as a whole, thanksgiving will never cease in the state.
