The Lagos State Government has moved to divert traffic on the Third Mainland Bridge today.
Accordingly to a report in Punch newspaper, the Commissioner for Transportation, Dr Frederick Oladeinde made this known, that the exercise would last from 9am to 4pm.
He said, “In reference to the notification received for the readiness of the Lagos State Public Works Corporation to repair the identified failed/peeled asphaltic sections of the Third Mainland Bridge, the Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion plan for the rehabilitation process which is between 9am to 4pm tomorrow, Sunday, April 2, 2023.
“I also want to assure citizens that the state’s traffic management authority will be fully on the ground to direct traffic to ameliorate the inconveniences and we implore motorists to be patient as the measures taken are aimed at providing quality and safe road infrastructure for everyone.”
