Abuja-Based NGO Puts Smiles On Faces Of IDPs

An Abuja-based Non-governmental Organization, Topflyers Magazine Foundation, on Saturday took its humanitarian service to an internally displaced persons camp located at Durumi, Abuja.

The mission, brimmed with love and hope, was to uplift the spirits internally displaced persons and ignite a sense of optimism and inspire perseverance in the pursuit of life ambitions among the IDPs.

Outreach to IDP camps and motherless babies homes stands as the pinnacle of the Foundation's way of giving back to the society, a sentiment passionately conveyed by Collins Peters, the project manager, who stood in for the CEO, Mr. Musa Yahaya. Peters underscored the organization's
unwavering focus on making a positive impact in the society. He said reaching out to the IDP community was a paramount initiative, with the overarching objective of providing support and uplifting the lives of those displaced by insecurity in parts of the country.

Peters said the foundation sought to offer a glimmer of hope amidst the trying circumstances faced by the IDPs and assured that Topflyers Magazine Foundation would continue give back to the society by touching lives of the less privileged.

The outreach to the IDP community sparked overwhelming excitement and jubilation in the camp. The Topflyers Magazine Foundation arrived the camp bearing a multitude of gift items, enhancing the joyous atmosphere. The heartfelt gestures and tangible tokens of care by the Foundation were received with profound gratitude, evoking smiles on the faces of those who had endured significant hardships.

Speaking on behalf of the displaced persons, the camp's women leader, Mrs Liyatu Ayuba, said Topflyers Magazine Foundation was the only organization that had visited them with items in the last three months. She said the displaced persons received the items with great joy and appreciation, and prayed God to continue to bless the Foundation.

The items presented included bags of rice, foot wears, cloths, cartons of noodle, bags of sachet water, cooking oil, cartoons of maggi, and so on.
