The planned nationwide strike action by the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) and Trade Union Congress (TUC), over the removal of fuel subsidy by the federal government, has been called off.
NLC and TUC today, suspended their proposed strike which was supposed to commence on Wednesday, after a meeting held between the labour leaders and representatives of the federal government this night.
However, a new meeting date for both parties, to reconvene over the fuel subsidy removal and cushioning effects, has been rescheduled to take place on the 19th of June 2023.
