The Federal government is not smiling! According to a circular, the Federal government has increased Federal government school fees from N45,000 to N100,000. Students are expected to pay ₦100,000 instead of the previous N45,000.
In Africa, it is said that, when it rains, it pours! And so it seems that, on all sides, the pocket of the average Nigerian is about to be strangulated!
From recent increase of fuel pump price, to the increase of electricity tariff, astronomical rice of food stuffs and now increase in school fees!
And the directive from the Office of the Director of Senior Secondary Education Department of the Federal Ministry of Education, reference number ADF/120/DSSE/I, dated 25th May 2023 and addressed to all principals of Federal Unity Colleges, is already in place!
The latest fees/charge increment as said, will affect virtually all aspects and activities of the school.
