... ENCOURAGES HIM TO BREAK, SET LONGEST READING RECORD
The immediate-past and retired Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Mr. Aniekpeno Mkpanang today visited the READMANIA Longest Marathon Reading Event where John Obot, is attempting to set a new Guiness World Record for 145 hours of Nonstop Reading.
Mr. Mkpanang, who in 2014 led 25,272 Sons and daughters of Akwa Ibom State to set the World Record for the Largest group of Carols Singers in the World was received at the reading venue by the Team Lead, Mr. Aloysius Amama and the Convener of Uyo Book Club, Dr. Udeme Nana.
In a brief speech at the visit, Mr. Mkpanang said he was at the Venue to encourage Mr. John Obot to doggedly strive to set the Record just as his brothers and sisters did with the Carols Singing Attempt.
He also reminded Mr Obot of Hilda Baci's recent successful cooking Record where she came out successful.
Mr. Mkpanang was at the Event with a contingent of the facilitators of the Carols Singing Guinness World Record including Mr. Raphael Edem, Mr. Ebakabasi Etuk, Mr. Etiemana Eyo, Dr. Elisha Atai, Mr. Idongesit Paul Inyang, among other young High professionals in the State who have been involved in the Christmas Carols project in the State since inception.
