Governor Hope Uzodinma of Imo state literally became the most important politician in the whole of igboland, when today President Bola Tinubu and ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo were among the top dignitaries at his inauguration for a second term in office.
Tinubu, who was earlier at an event in Abuja for the 2024 Armed Forces Remembrance Day, hurried out of Abuja to land at the Sam Mbakwe Airport in Owerri around 1 pm, according to a news report from a Nigerian television station.
Uzodinma's event was filled with a sizeable number of important dignitaries from all over the country. And Igbo leaders in Imo state did not disappoint the governor either as they were out to receive the visitors with open hands.
The Senate President Godswill Akpabio and the Speaker of the House of Representatives Tajudeen Abbas were also also at the event.
So also was Anambra State Deputy Governor, Onyekachi Ibezim, who represented Gov Charles Soludo.

APC won with 540,308 votes, the PDP candidate was second with 71, 503 votes, while Labour party had 64,081 votes.
